Every year, South Louisiana’s top musicians receive recognition from fans at OffBeat Magazine’s Best of the Beat Awards event.

This year’s event takes place January 27, 2012 at Generations Hall, with musical performances by:
George Porter, Jr. (Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient)
Glen David Andrews
Big Freedia
Lost Bayou Ramblers
The Soul Rebels
Aurora Nealand and the Royal Roses

Congratulations to our past Salon participants Cliff Hines, Rebirth Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Amanda Shaw, Soul Rebels Brass Band, Donald Harrison, Sasha Masakowski, Kristin Diable, Johnny Vidacovich, and Sunpie Barnes. We were honored to have them perform and engage our Fellows during our Summer Arts through Culture program in years past. Good luck to everyone who made the list.
